Klekovača Tourist Center
Situated in the border area between Republica Srpska and the Bosnia-Herzegowina federation, one of the largest tourist centers in south eastern Europe is developed, covering an area of 2,250 hectares at the bottom of mount Klekovača which is 1,962 m high.
Renowned planners and architects took over the task to plan a top-class luxury holiday resort on the Kozila plateau which comprises an area of 383 hectares. An important part of this task was not only to find the best economical solution but also the best and ecologically suitable concept.
The planners managed to draw up a resort which is in harmony with nature as best as possible, holds 15,000 beds and will meet all standards within the different categories. Simple tourists' homes in a traditional mountain village will be offered as well as accommodations in the 5-star-sector. This largest and first-class skiing resort will be established within a snowy zone, situated in south eastern Europe and comprising an area of 44 kilometers of skiing slopes. During the summer months, tourists will be delighted to go hiking and biking, to find a golf court, and many other things to do. The resort is situated within forests and at the border to a nature preserve so it offers pure peace and recreation. However, the lively coast of the Adriatic sea around the town of Split can easily be reached by car within less than 1.5 hours driving.
